Stream bank repair

A valued client reached out to MRF Contracting for assistance with a repair project on a water main near a stream. They expressed concerns about the valve’s proximity to the water table, which was within 2 meters of the stream bank. MRF Contracting was entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the stream from potential silt intrusion during the excavation process.

Following the completion of the project, we implemented Gabion baskets to shield the bank from erosion. We then reinstated the subsoil to its original depth, followed by topsoiling to its original height. This topsoil was seeded, and to prevent runoff, a coir mat was applied on the bank.
